Hi my name is Molly! I’m from Yorkshire, England & I’m a vlogger & content creator on YouTube! I’ve been making travel content for the past couple of years. I visited Thailand last year and absolutely fell IN LOVE with the country and what's more, people online seemed to find me documenting it pretty helpful too! I usually travel with my boyfriend but do dabble in solo travel too sometimes! When I’m not travelling & working you’ll usually find me listening to Taylor Swift, reading a book or attempting to surf (still working on that one) but I am so excited to be back living the island paradise dream!
Bryan was a bit of a party guy when he was younger. In fact he was one of the pioneers of the silent disco concept and toured some of Europe's biggest festivals with his previous company Headphone Disco. Following his lifelong dream of owning his own dive school on a tropical island, he's now the proud owner of La Bombona Diving. Oh, and did we tell you he used to be an opera singer?
Hi my name is Tom, I’m also from Yorkshire and I am a Graphic Designer. Molly and I have traveled across many locations in Asia, including Thailand, of all the places we’ve visited, hands down my favourite was Koh Tao and the Thai Islands. When I’m not travelling you’ll find me on a football pitch, or in the stands watching Liverpool, but don't hold it against me. I love sport, so being able to learn new sports while travelling like Surfing and Scuba Diving has been a massive highlight of the experience for me. I can’t wait to get back in the water!
You must make your way to Bangkok on the arrival date. You just need to let us know what flight you are on so we can arrange to pick you up and take you to the first accommodation. At the end of your chosen trip we will either transfer you to Surat Thani town (Or Phuket for liveaboard guests)
Whilst dive insurance is included on the tour, you will still need to obtain your own travel insurance for the duration of the trip in Thailand. This is mandatory and a copy of your policy will be required for submission along with a waiver form.
Thailand doesn't always require a visa for entry but it is advised that you check your local government website. It is your responsibility to obtain any visas that you may require for your trip.
Most but not all meals are included on the trip. Some drinks are provided at some of the meals, and we have a free bar before the Full Moon Party, but additional soft and alcoholic drinks are not included. You will also have some free time to explore and buy souvenirs. We RECOMMENDED THAT YOU BRING at least 300 USD OR EQUIVALENT as spending money for the duration of this retreat.

It's full moon party day, but that's not till much later. We're taking you on a little tour of Koh Phangan. Hike to a waterfall then enjoy some of KPG's beaches. We even have snorkeling equipment with us to let you enjoy a float around in the clear tranquil bays. Back to the hostel for 5pm, shower and relax before the party starts. To the pier and ferry over to the mainland. Today is the day we go to Khao Sok national park. Get your cameras ready for this one. We'll take a longtail boat to our home for the evening. The famous floating bungalows on Chong Mueng Lake await. When we arrive through the meandering liestone rocks you'll have the chance to go on a cave hike, enjoy a paddle in a kayak, or just go for a swim in the tranquil waters. In the evening we'll go on a night safari. Hopefully we can see some big animals drinking from the lake.
Day 12 (5th July)
Location - Khao Sok National Park
We'll have breakfast at the floating bungalows and you'll have another chance for a swim before we head back on the longtail. We'll transfer you back to Surat Thani town. You'll then need to arrange your onward travel, but don't worry we are there for advice.
We welcome everyone
But here's a little rundown of who we think would be ideal for this trip.......
You want to learn to dive or you are already love diving.
You have a sense of adventure or want to step out of your comfort zone.
You enjoy partying and nightlife
You like meeting new and like-minded travellers
You're 20-35, adventurous individual, looking for an escape (it's no problem if you're outside of this age range but expect the majority to be within this age bracket)
As long as you have a sense of adventure, and can swim 200m then you'll have no problem as a complete novice. The open water course is designed for complete beginners. You'll be surprised how far you'll come in the days you are with us learning to dive.
Yes, we encourage solo travellers. In fact most of the people on the trip will be travelling solo. the whole idea is that you meet like-minded people along the way. you'll be in god company.
Most of the accommodation on the trip is shared hostel accommodation in 8-10 bed dorms. We will not be sharing with the general public, so we'll be like one big happy family for the duration of the trip. The floating bungalows are 2 people in each bungalow and we can deal with requests for sharing these in due course. If you'd like your own room we can do this, but a supplement will apply
Yes. We provide everything you need during the course, fun dives. You might want to bring or purchase your own mask to enjoy the comfort and knowledge that it'll definitely fit you, there's nothing worse than an ill fitting mask, but the guys at La Bombona Diving can advise on this when you arrive.
Once the deposits are paid we start booking things that are non-refundable, so unfortunately we cannot offer any refunds after the payment dates.
A prerequisite of the course is that you must swim 200m unaided. It can be in any stroke and you can take as long as you want to do the swim.
