No experience or certification needed — just a sense of adventure. Learn basic skills, breathe underwater, and see colourful marine life in a safe, guided environment. Make your first dive unforgettable!
Your first diving adventure runs from around 9:30 until early afternoon — or a little longer if you add the optional second dive. We take things slowly, starting with the basics on land before heading out onto the water. There's no pressure and no expectation that you already know anything about scuba diving. That's what we're here to teach you.
Not included — mandatory dive insurance (100 THB) and the optional second dive (1,000 ฿).
Your Journey
We'll meet at our dive centre on Sairee Beach, where one of our certified instructors will welcome you and introduce you to the basics of scuba diving — how your equipment works, how to breathe underwater, basic underwater communication, equalising your ears, how to move underwater, important safety procedures and what to expect during your first dive. Everything is explained simply and clearly, with plenty of time to ask questions before you get anywhere near the water.
A short break to relax, grab a drink and let the theory settle before we head out on the water.
We board our dive boat right off Sairee Beach and head to a calm, shallow dive site. On the way, your instructor will help you gear up and run through the plan one more time.
Time for the real thing. You'll practise a few skills with your instructor in shallow water first, then descend to a maximum of 12 metres, exploring colourful coral gardens and spotting tropical fish in a safe, relaxed environment — with your instructor by your side every step of the way.
If you find yourself wanting more (and most people do!), you can choose to add a second dive for just 1,000 ฿. That extra dive gives you the chance to feel even more comfortable in the water and discover a different reef area — a great way to make the most of your day in this underwater paradise.
Our dive boat is spacious, comfortable, and designed with divers in mind. It offers a smooth ride, space to gear up with ease, and a rooftop area to relax between dives. Leaving right from Sairee Beach, it makes your diving day smoother, more social, and a lot more enjoyable.

I had an amazing Try Dive experience at La Bombona! I was quite nervous and even panicked a few times during the first dive, but Armand was incredibly calm, patient and reassuring. He took the time to make me feel comfortable.
I returned to La Bombona after doing my Open Water here in April, to do my Explorer 30, Deep 40, and Nitrox courses. I had Vasco as my instructor, and he was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable on scuba diving techniques and theory.

The adventure doesn’t end with the Try Dive! Inspired by the underwater world? Many skills you’ll practice in the Try Dive are foundations for the Open Water Course, making your journey into the depths even more seamless — and your try dive can count toward it. 11,000 ฿
Yes — there's no swim test for a Try Dive. You start with a calm theory session, then practise in shallow water where your instructor stays right beside you, moving at your pace the whole way.
Your first dive goes to a maximum of 12 metres — and most of Koh Tao's colour and marine life lives well above that depth anyway.
We meet at 9:30 am for theory, the boat leaves at 11:45 and you're diving by 12:30. With the optional second dive you're done by mid-afternoon — a full adventure in one day.
Yes! If you loved it (most people do), add an optional second dive for ฿1,000 on the same trip.
Nothing but swimwear and a towel — all diving equipment, the boat and snacks are included.
Only the mandatory dive insurance (100 THB) and the optional second dive (฿1,000). There's no marine park fee on Koh Tao.
