Welcome to our diving home
Imagine stepping into our dive centre in the heart of Gili Trawangan, where a
comfortable classroom provides the perfect sanctuary to master dive theory
surrounded by island tranquility. As the day winds down, our beachfront
setting becomes a gathering place where divers connect to share underwater
adventures, meet fellow dive enthusiasts, or celebrate the day’s achievements
with their dive team — often with live music drifting up from the
restaurant-bar. And the reefs the Gilis are famous for? Just 10–20 minutes
away by boat. Ready to dive into island paradise?
One idea, three islands
La Bombona Diving started on Koh Tao in 2014 with a simple idea: diving should
feel personal, not like a production line. That meant small groups, instructors
who remember your name, and training that goes beyond the minimums.
The idea worked. Koh Lipe followed, and now Gili Trawangan — our first island
in Indonesia, and honestly, the one with the most turtles.
Why “La Bombona”?
Bombona is Spanish for the tank on your back. It’s the first thing every
diver carries and the last thing they think about once the diving gets good —
which is exactly how equipment should be.
What we care about
Safety without ceremony. High standards, small groups, well-maintained
equipment — delivered with a laugh, not a lecture.
Training that exceeds minimums. More water time, more practice, more
confidence than the course standards ask for. Our rescue training is famously
thorough. Cutting corners is someone else’s business model.
The ocean itself. Beach clean-ups, reef-safe practice, and briefings that
treat marine life as hosts, not props. The turtles were here first.
